Air Emissions

Dry Low-Temperature Dismantling

Condensed Gas (Electrolyte Recovery):
VOCs and fluorides captured and treated through deep purification.

Emission levels:
• Volume: 150 Nm³/h
• NMHC: <25 g/m³
• HF: <2.5 mg/m³


Sorting Gas (Airflow Separation):
Particulates from mechanical sorting filtered through bag filtration.
Emission levels:
• Volume: 36,000 Nm³/h
• Particulates: <10 mg/m³
• Ni & Co compounds: <5 mg/m³


All emissions meet EU industrial discharge standards.

Solvent-Free Wet Recycling Technology

High-purity metal and lithium recovery with ultra-low emissions.

  • No significant gas generation during extraction of Ni, Co, Mn.
  • Minor acidic vapors absorbed and reused inside the system.

Water Emissions

Zero Wastewater Discharge for Dry Dismantling

The dry dismantling process uses no water at any stage, eliminating wastewater generation entirely.


  • No process water
  • No chemical rinsing
  • No liquid effluent
  • Recovered electrolyte is recycled for reuse


This ensures the system operates with zero water pollution and minimal environmental impact.

Minimal Wastewater Discharge for Wet Recycling

Evaporative condensate and washing water are recirculated within the

production process. Only small amounts from cleaning and lab testing.


Total discharge: ~1 m³/day, treated to meet discharge standards.

Solid Waste Handling & Resource Recovery

Dry Process Solid Waste

  • Metals (Steel, Copper, Aluminum):
    Recovered as clean fractions and returned to the industrial supply chain.


  • Separator & Plastic Residue:
    ~500 tons/year generated; classified as general industrial waste and transported to licensed disposal facilities.


  • Electrolyte Residue:
    Fully captured and purified; no discharge.

Wet Process Solid Waste

  • Graphite Residue:
    ~3,136 tons/year produced after metal extraction.
    Considered general solid waste but can be sold as recycled graphite for industry use.


  • Iron–Aluminum Sludge:
    ~320 tons/year generated during leachate purification.
    Collected and safely transported to qualified treatment facilities.

  • Lithium → battery-grade carbonate or hydroxide
  • Graphite → purified anode-grade powder
  • Electrolyte → captured and reused


This maximizes resource efficiency and supports true circularity.

Near-Zero Discharge Through Dry & Solvent-Free Processes

With no water used in the dry stage and no organic solvents in the wet stage, the system operates with:

  • No wastewater discharge
  • Minimal solid waste
